Port Moody Police are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying suspects in a theft that turned violent last week.

On January 22, 2025 at about 5:45 p.m., staff at a liquor store in Port Moody’s Inlet Centre area called police after observing two young men reportedly steal liquor product then assault a citizen who tried to intervene. It is alleged that the citizen who attempted to stop one of the males was assaulted by both suspects and sustained significant injuries as a result. Police attended but were unable to locate the suspects at the time. The two suspects are believed to be in their late teens, both Caucasian males, and one having dark shaggy hair and the other having light brown short hair. The male with dark hair was wearing a distinct hoodie with yellow markings on it.

“We are turning to the public to help us identify these suspects” states Constable Sam Zacharias, “anyone with information is asked to contact us, or Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.”
